Bred by Jacques Vigneron (France, before 1864).
Introduced in United Kingdom by William Paul & Son in 1865 as 'Elisabeth Vigneron'.
Introduced in Australia by Charles Wyatt, Frogmore Nursery in 1868 as 'Elizabeth Vigneron'.

Class:

Hybrid Perpetual.

Bloom:

Pink, darker center. Moderate, centifolia fragrance. Large, double (17-25 petals), cupped-to-flat bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.

Habit:

Arching, armed with thorns / prickles. Light green foliage.

Growing:

USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).

Patents:

Parentage:

La Reine × Duchess of Sutherland (hybrid perpetual, Laffay 1839)

Notes:

Bred in 1860, sold to William Paul in 1864 who placed it on the market in 1865.
