Bloom:
Rose-pink. Strong, old rose fragrance. 35 petals. Average diameter 4.5". Large, double (17-25 petals), cupped bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
Notes:
WAVES is the acronym for Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Services, which was created in 1942 as a women's division of the U.S. Navy. WAVES were assigned shore duty to free men to fight in World War II.
