Origin:

Discovered by Lagoona Nursery (Australia, 1958).
Introduced in United Kingdom by Wheatcroft Brothers Ltd. in 1960 as 'Tzigane, Cl.'.

Bloom:

Rose-red, copper shading, yellow reverse. Cactus dahlia shape. Mild fragrance. Large, full (26-40 petals) bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.

Habit:

Climbing. Glossy foliage.

Height: 31" to 4¼' (80 to 130cm).

Growing:

USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
