'Mme Raymond Chevalier-Appert' ex Guillot is diploid . See reference of 2002. This rose is probably mislabeled. Raymond Chevallier-Appert was the great-grand-nephew of Nicolas Appert (1749 Châlons-sur-Marne - June 1, 1841), who in 1795 invented food preservation by heating and storage in airtight glass jars, opening the first canning plant in 1802. The "conserves" Chevallier-Appert were used as food rations in World War I.
