Origin:
Bred by Charles Mallerin (France, before 1928).
Introduced in France by Grandes Roseraies du Val de la Loire in 1928 as 'Madame G. Forest-Colcombet'.
Introduced in United States by Conard-Pyle (Star Roses) in 1930 as 'Syracuse'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1933 as 'Syracuse'.

Hybrid Tea, Pernetiana.  
Bloom:
Red, scarlet shading, ages to carmine-red .  Mild fragrance.  Very large, very double, borne mostly solitary, globular bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Long, pointed buds.  
Habit:
Bushy, upright, well-branched.  Dark green foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Hardy.  vigorous.
