Bred by William Rollinson (United Kingdom, before 1826).
Introduced in Australia by Camden Park in 1843 as 'R. indica alba'.
Introduced in Australia by John J. Rule, Victoria Nursery in 1857 as 'White China'.

Bloom:

White, pink highlights. Moderate, tea fragrance. Average diameter 4". Large, double (17-25 petals), cupped, globular bloom form. Rounded buds.
