Origin:
Bred by Pedro (Pere) Dot (Spain, before 1929).
Introduced in United States by Conard-Pyle (Star Roses) in 1931 as 'Morning Blush'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1933 as 'Duquesa de Peñaranda'.
Class:
Pernetiana.  
Bloom:
Orange, ages to salmon-orange .  Moderate fragrance.  Very large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters, cupped-to-flat bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Long, pointed buds.  
Habit:
Bushy, upright.  Large, glossy, dark green, dense foliage.  

Height: 39" (100cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b and warmer.  Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.

The Duke of Peñaranda de Duero is a hereditary title awarded 1618 by the Spanish King Philip III. The "Duchess pf Peñaranda" is either
- Maria Francisca de Sales Portocarrero y Kirkpatrick ("Paca de Alba") (January 29, 1825 Granada - September 16, 1860 Paris), 12th Duchess of Peñaranda in her own right, Duchess of Alba, or if contemporary to Pere Dot:
- María del Rosario Falcó (d. April 23, 1967), wife of Hernando Fitz-James Stuart, 18th Duke of Peñaranda (November 3, 1882 - November 7 1936 Paracuellos)
