Origin:
Discovered by Howard & Smith (United States, 1930). Discovered by T.J. English & Son (United Kingdom, 1932).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1933 as 'Dame Edith Helen, Cl.'.
Class:
Found Rose, Climber, Hybrid Tea, Cl..  
Bloom:
Deep pink.  Candy pink.  Strong, sweet fragrance.  Average diameter 6".  Large, very double, high-centered bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles, climbing.  

Height: up to 8'2" (up to 250cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
"Overhill Pink": long upright canes, which are well-armed, and fairly brittle. The flower stem is bristly. The receptacle is variable, sometimes being almost flat, and the occasional flower has 6 sepals instead of the usual 5. Can ball.
