W. Kordes' Söhne (Wholesale) covers “Florists Cut Flowers” and “Florists Pot Roses” which are offered to professional growers only. W. Kordes' Söhne is one of the world's leading breeders and producers of cut roses and garden roses. Hybridizing work takes place at their main facility in Germany where new roses are divided into categories: cut roses for greenhouses, outdoor cut roses, and garden roses (which include climbers, shrubs, park roses, miniatures, bedding roses, groundcover roses and old-fashioned roses). The main nursery produces about 3.5 million roses annually. These are shipped from October to the end of April. At INTERROSE, their company in The Netherlands, Kordes tests cut roses in greenhouses that cover an area of 2 hectares to determine which varieties are suitable for production.
