Discovered by Mrs. A. Edwards (New Zealand, 1968).
Introduced in New Zealand by New Zealand Clematis Nurseries as 'Allanah'.
Introduced in United Kingdom by Fisk's Clematis Nursery in 1984 as 'Allanah'.
Class:
Group 3, Large-flowered, Late.  
Bloom:
Red.  6 to 8 petals.  Average diameter 8".  Single bloom form.  
Habit:

Height: 6' to 8' (185 to 245cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 4b through 9b.  Plant in sun or partial shade.  This plant blooms on the current season's growth.  In early spring, cut back to just above the lowest set of healthy buds.
