Bred by Nico Huisman (Netherlands, 2004).
Introduced in Netherlands by Huisman Boomkwekerij B.V. in 2014 as 'Ovation'.
Class:
Early Small Flowered.  
Bloom:
Light green, ages to lighter .  None to mild fragrance.  5 petals.  Average diameter 1".  Small bloom form.  Early-to-midspring.  
Habit:
Compact, spreading.  Dark foliage.  

Height: up to 4.75" (up to 12cm).  Width: up to 1' (up to 30cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 8a and warmer.

‘Ovation’ was derived from a controlled cross made by the Inventor in Boskoop, The Netherlands in spring of 2004 between the female parent, an unnamed plant of Clematis marmoraria and the male parent, Clematis×cartmanii ‘Lunar Lass’ (not patented). ‘Ovation’ was selected in summer of 2006 as a single unique plant amongst the seedlings of the above cross.
