Discovered by Unknown (before 1829). Introduced by Veitch & Son in 1844 as 'C. montana 'Grandiflora''.

Bloom:
White. Vanilla fragrance. 4 petals. Average diameter 4". Single, bell-shaped, nodding, saucer-shaped bloom form. Mid-to-late spring, early autumn.
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Needs a warm, frost-free situation. Plant in sun or partial shade. No pruning required. Shape or tidy up the plant AFTER flowering is finished. It blooms on the previous year's growth, so resist the urge to prune it in early spring.
