Origin:

Bred by Samuel Darragh (1932-2019) McGredy IV (1960).
Introduced in Australia by Langbecker in 1968 as 'City of Leeds'.

Bloom:

Salmon-pink. Orange salmon. Mild fragrance. 19 to 20 petals. Average diameter 4.5". Semi-double to double bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.

Habit:

Bushy, few or no prickles/thorns, upright. Dark green foliage.

Height: 30" to 4½' (75 to 135cm). Width: 2' (60cm).

Growing:

USDA zone 5b and warmer. Can be used for cut flower, exhibition or garden. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
