My Alexandre Girault is not quite up to the same standards as in Roseraie de l`hay, but it is performing very well indeed for the second year(up front) It is expected to cover the trunk of the tree seen to its left, and frankly I think it will succeed eventually. As have "Brenda Colvin" and "Hybrida" up the tree behind it, having reached a substantial size after a number of years. Some blue flowers of the clematis " Mrs. Cholmondeley" are seen at the bottom of the tree trunk and through the "tunnel" in the background is a "Lykkefund" up and apple tree. Some raspberry bushes may be seen to the right.
